// Bono to make movie

Bono is working on a movie about an Irish musician who moves to Las Vegas.

Entitled 'A Version of Las Vegas', it will follow the endeavours of the abandoned son of the musician who emigrated in the 1960s, reports Variety.

The U2 frontman is working with fellow Irishman Barry Devlin, a former member of 'The Horslips' and writer on BBC's 'Ballykissangel', who worked with the band on television films including 'The Making of the Movie Rattle And Hum'.

Bono previously wrote the screenplay to 2001's Mel Gibson-produced 'The Million Dollar Hotel'.

// Vertigo tour: 2nd leg underway!

U2 kicked off the second leg of their 'Vertigo' tour in front of 60,000 enthusiastic fans at the King Baudouin stadium in the Belgian capital.

Opening and closing their set with the song 'Vertigo', Bono and his fellow Dubliners played to an ecstatic crowd for two hours.

The stadium erupted after three quarters of an hour when the band embarked on one of their biggest hits from the 1980s 'Sunday Bloody Sunday'.

Bono, as well-known these days as a high-voltage global activist, preached peace in the Middle East in front of a crowd where Muslim crescents, Stars of David and Christian crosses mingled.
