// Vertigo 2006: U2 go Down Under

U2 has announced their long rumoured Australian and New Zealand tour dates for March 2006.

Australia will see U2 for the first time in 8 years in Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney while New Zealand fans will be treated to their first show in 12 years in Auckland. For all dates check out the Vertigo Tour 4th leg tour schedule.

Tickets will go on sale on December 5. They are priced at $99 for General Admission to the stadium field area, with Reserved Seat tickets to be priced between $99 and $199.

The Vertigo '06 tour will commence in Mexico in February before heading to South America, then New Zealand, Australia and Japan.

// U2 pay tribute to Johnny Cash

Wednesday evening CBS aired 'I Walk The Line: A Night For Johnny Cash', an all-star tribute to Johnny Cash, featuring performances from U2, Sheryl Crow, Jerry Lee Lewis, Foo Fighters, Norah Jones and others.

U2 were introduced by Joaquin Phoenix, who plays Cash in the movie 'Walk The Line', which opens in theaters this Friday.

// Vertigo tour continues in 2006

U2.com has confirmed that there will be a 4th leg on the 'Vertigo' tour: "Vertigo//2006' will commence in early February with stops planned in Mexico, South America, New Zealand, Australia and Japan."

No further details were given but according to rumours U2 will play in Auckland, New Zealand on March 16 and 17, Melbourne, Australia on March 24 and 25 and Sao Paulo, Brazil on February 21 and 22.
