// U2 postpone world tour

Bad news from Rolling Stone:

"U2 have postponed their much-anticipated tour behind How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb, originally scheduled to kick off March 1st in Miami. "All of the plans are in total flux," a source close to the band told Rolling Stone, citing a family illness as the reason for the change. Tour dates were to be announced and go on sale this month, but those plans have been delayed."

According to Irish newspapers the family member concerned is a daughter from The Edge and his first wife Aislinn.

U2.com does not mention a family illness as the reason for the delay, Paul McGuinness, U2's manager, is quoted saying: "We've postponed the announcement of the tour because the routing is still being worked on. As soon as we get everything confirmed over the coming weeks, we'll let you know.."

It seems highly unlikely that the tour will start in Miami in March, as originally planned.
