// U2 perform for Katrina benefits

U2 has given two performances for the ongoing hurricane Katrina relief campaign.

On Friday U2 appeared on the one hour benefit concert television special 'Shelter From the Storm: A Concert for the Gulf Coast'. U2 were joined by Mary J. Blige for a wonderful performance of 'One'.

The performance was taped earlier that day in Toronto's Air Canada Center.

The band also taped 'Love and Peace or Else' for the MTV, VH1 and CMT benefit special 'ReAct Now: Music and Relief', which aired yesterday.

U2 is in Toronto rehearsing for the third leg of the 'Vertigo' tour, which will kickoff tomorrow night with the first of four concerts that U2 will give in Toronto.
